vegas baby
we made it safely back to vegas after the championship game! i think we went in just about EVERY casino in vegas.....loved every minute of it. what a fun trip. this was the night i met a homeless man. just listening to his story made me realize how much i take just the simple things in life for granted.
country goes to town
there was no way i was going to miss BAMA winning the 13th National Championship! here i am......just arriving in pasadena! what a great day. i always thought that auburn fans were tacky, well no more......i've never seen any fans be as tacky as the longhorns.
flat stanley says, "RTR!"
here we are on the plane.....flat stanley went along with me on my journey to pasadena to the national championship game earlier this year to watch the tide roll over the long horns.
craft room
as you know, I love to sew and I love polka dots. I couldn't find any curtains that I liked so I bought a $2.97 flat sheet from Wal-mart, trimmed it to fit my window, painted some polka dots with a stencil sponge, and sewed he sides and the ribbon across the bottom.
the mossy oak obsession continues
i have a mossy oak obsession and it's all my daddy's fault. being raised in randolph county (aka...the five six), I was exposed to numerous hunting and fishing excursions. along with the hunting and fishing comes the camo....and not just any camo, mossy oak camo. i'm pictured here at the daniel wortham memorial tournament.
the perfect
one of my favorite things to do in the summer is to lounge in my hammock. it is so peaceful....love listening to the bird sings and tunes from limewire.com. while i'm lounging, i also enjoy browsing through magazines to get ideas on how reorganize and decorate.
winter time decorating
If you know me, you know I love to decorate and that I love just about anything that has to do with Arts and Crafts. Red is my absolute favorite color....you will see red in every room in my house in some form or another. My house and taste in decorating is cottage style. Mostly cottage style is made up of light colors; however, not limited to light colors. I have dark antiques in my bedroom. My plan is to white wash, antique, and\or crackle the furniture in my room. I'm in need for a change.
mossy oak obsession
(Lynn, Michele, and muah) sporting our Camo gear when it snowed in '08. It's all my daddy's fault.....this "Mossy Oak" obsession I have. He's a big time hunter and has to have anything camo he can find. I grew up with the obsession.
When I was a little girl, I used to love my daddy's t-shirts.......camouflage only, of course. I guess that's why I have the obsession.....it reminds me of being a little girl....all those memories of my Paw Paw Moore, Daddy, uncles, and cousins in their camo gear. camo reminds me of childhood memories....of FAMILY

you decorated my life...
For the winter, of course I decorated with darker colors, as we all do. But for the spring, I wanted to change things up. You know, I just get tired of looking at the same thing day in and day out....so one day, I woke up and decided to do just that....change it up. If you know me, then you know I'm impulsive. So me and my impulsive self set out to redecorate my room without spending any money. Guess what? I did just that!
Here's what I did: The comforter is an old one that I've had since my college days (I'm not kiddin' it's about 10 years old). Since I was going for the light colors, I turned the comforter over to the all white side and folded it back so that just a bit of the quilt would be in view). Each and every sham you see on this bed, I made with my own two hands. That's right....I sure did...ha! I'm so excited. Originally, I had the plates hung as wall decorations in my bathroom. Now I know what you're thinking.....plates in the bathroom? I promise it worked.
The curtains used to hang in my living room and they are twin flat sheets I purchased a few years ago at Wal-Mart for $2.97 a panel. I bought 4 panels to dress my windows for $12.00. The wicker night stand came from Good Will...how bout that. I'm a frequent shopper at Good Will and The Center of Hope in Oxford, AL.... I have found many of my household treasures there. :) I also love to visit the goodwill stores in Auburn, AL and Gadsden, AL......if you've never been, you should go.
